(Public Law 101-381) The Ryan White Care Act represents the largest authorization of Federal funds specifically designated to provide health and social services to low income, uninsured, or under insured persons infected with HIV. For a decade, it has dramatically improved the quality of life for people living with HIV and their families, reduced use of costly inpatient care, and increased access to care for under-served populations, including people of color. |
